*Critical Information: Revised Code Adoption Date*
Major changes to the Pennsylvania Building Codes will officially implement the International Code Council 2021 Code Series and its amendments to take effect on January 1, 2026. Projects designed or contracted on or after the effective date are subject to the new UCC provisions. For those projects with executed construction contracts before the effective date, those projects can proceed under the prior code year of 2018 if a permit is applied for within six months of the effective date.
Pennsylvania’s Uniform Construction Code Triennial Update was approved by the Independent Regulatory Review Commission on October 16, 2025. This final-omitted rulemaking was published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on November 8, 2025.
**The effective date is January 1, 2026**

Should any of the Township’s professional consultants be necessary as part of a permit and/or other Township approval process, the following rates shall apply and be the responsibility of the property owner(s).
