On Wednesday, September 29, the Board of Supervisors decided to move forward with advertising a proposed ordinance to implement an Earned Income Tax for the 2027 Calendar Year. The proposed rate for residents is 1%, and the proposed rate for nonresidents is 1%. The board will render its final decision as to whether to adopt the EIT ordinance at a special meeting to be held on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m.
