Zoning Hearing Board Alternates
East Marlborough Township is seeking residents that may be interested in volunteering to serve as an alternate on the East Marlborough Township Zoning Hearing Board. The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi – judicial branch of Township government with respect to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance. The Board meets on an as needed basis to hear and render decisions regarding zoning matters such as applications for variances and special exceptions from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance, appeals from the decision of the Zoning Officer, and any other validity challenges of the Zoning Ordinance. As an alternate, an appointed resident would stand in for Zoning Hearing Board members that might be unable to attending hearings due to an absence or conflict. The Zoning Hearing Board performs an important function in reviewing zoning matters of the Township. The Township has two vacancies to fill, each for a three-year term ending December 31, 2023. Interested residents of East Marlborough Township are requested to submit a letter of interest and resume by 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021.
