The East Marlborough Township budgets for 2017 were approved at the December 19, 2016 public meeting. The budgets show General Fund anticipated receipts and expenditures of $2,408,356.75, based on an assessed valuation of $699 million at 1.05 mills, as well as .75 mils for Fire Protection, .20 mill for open space preservation and .183 mill for Bayard Taylor Library Tax, yielding a total tax rate of 2.183 mills. The assessment for Light Tax for the Village of Unionville is 50 cents per lineal foot. The State Fund anticipated balance, receipts, and expenditures are $469,543.46. The East Marlborough Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 7:00 pm on December 19 to vote on the final budgets for 2017. Immediately following there will be a Conditional Use Hearing for the property located at 909 E. Baltimore Pike.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of East Marlborough Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania will hold a public hearing on Monday December 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the public meeting room of the East Marlborough Township Building, 721 Unionville Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348, to consider the Application for Conditional Use approval of Garnet QL, LLC. The Applicant requests approval pursuant to Sections 902.C(2) and (16) of the Township Zoning Ordinance for a proposed retail store in a building in excess of 2000 square feet of floor area and an automobile repair shop to be located on the following properties: 500 Pennock Avenue (UPI 61-6P-9), 511 S. Orchard Avenue (UPI 61-6P-15.2), 909 E. Baltimore Pike (UPI 61-6P-15.3), 911 E. Baltimore Pike (UPI 61-6P- 15.3A) and 907 E. Baltimore Pike (UPI 61-6P-16).
